Jason Krugman attended Tufts University and studied Economics and Fine Arts. After graduating, Krugman struggled to imagine a career as a fine artist and instead focused on economics and later finance. He worked at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch processing structured credit trades prior to the financial collapse. In early 2007, with no inkling of the impending calamity, Krugman returned to school to study technology and art. Inspired by the burgeoning use of electricity and code to create interactive art, he enrolled at the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU. Krugman learned about microcontrollers, soldering, digital fabrication and new materials. His thesis at ITP, a wind sensitive LED array, was blogged about by Kanye West which in turn got him his first commercial commission, making a larger, more portable version to show at several large music festivals. Krugman soon after began receiving inquiries to make permanent LED installations for buildings and people’s homes. Today, Krugman’s practice is still based around the design and execution of new types of LED artworks. He has developed a hand-soldered LED mesh, several cable systems, and a variety of custom printed circuit boards for LED artworks. He specializes in arranging electricity and lights in 3-dimensional space. His sculptures often use their physical structure to conduct electricity to the light sources. This eliminates most of the insulated wiring and connectors allowing thousands of lights to sit softly among minimal wire forms.

The William Thomas Agency proudly announces Joseph and Curtis Custom Wine Cellars as the newest partner to its roster of high performance independent custom fabricators. Joseph and Curtis Custom Wine Cellars is an independent American custom manufacturer providing innovative services and creating transformative products for unique interior design and architecture projects. By joining The William Thomas Agency, the agency will be providing Business Development services for future assignments. By blending traditional agency standards of project management with a boutique ethos, The William Thomas Agency connects the most cutting-edge lighting, landscape lighting and furnishings, AV technologies, and architectural millwork for the high-end retail, hospitality, public art fabrication and for urban realm projects with coveted industry professionals. Joseph & Curtis began over a glass of wine and too little volatility in the stock market. Joe Kline and Curt Dahl were both traders. Joe began trading on the floor of the CME, where he met Curtis in 1990. In his off time, he had an incredible passion for design. On many days, after a stressful 7 hours of trading, you would find Joe unwinding in his garage/workshop or creating designs on his computer.

Curtis, on the other hand, got the trading "bug" at age 15 when he sat with a neighbor hour after hour as he traded from his home office. After two years at the CME, he started trading from a screen and soon opened his own trading firm (which he later sold in 2000).

Their paths crossed once again when Joe and his wife moved to the east coast in 1997 and Joe began to trade at the NYC trading firm Curt owned.

A common appreciation for great food and wine meant many dinners with spouses and one such dinner at Joe's home led to the beginning of Joseph & Curtis Custom Wine Cellars. Over a glass of wine after dinner, Curt was commenting on a custom wine rack Joe had designed and built for his wife. The design was cutting edge for its time as it used both wood and copper rods to store/display the wine bottles and nothing like it really existed back then. Curt suggested starting a company to design and build one of a kind wine cellars on the strength of that design and the rising trend of wines popularity.

Joe & Curt agreed that a commitment to outstanding customer service and great designs were not one path , but the only path to success and they have never looked back. To this day we meet each and every client and are involved in each and every project. Every design is created in house.

Many clients we meet comment happily 'oh, there is actually a Joseph and a Curtis!' It means something to them and it means something to us.

Our trading backgrounds still haunt us with many of our clients being from Wall Street. When they hear that we also were traders they often say 'I wish I could find something like this to do and switch gears, what you guys did is so cool!' We think so too.

James Parker first began manipulating stone quite early in life. At only four years of age, he assisted his father in repairing gaps in the drystone walls surrounding the family farm in Galloway, South West Scotland. This simple bonding experience sparked an interest in stonework, which would eventually turn into both passion and profession. 2007 saw the creation of his first sculpture in slate, and by June 2008 his first public exhibition was underway. Several exhibitions have since followed, including multiple accolades and award-winning years at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
